đź”§ How to Clear Cache on vSeeBox
For V2, Max, V5, Elite, Elite Ultra:
- Go to System Settings → Device Preferences.
- Select Storage → Internal Shared Storage.
- Find Cached Data.
- Choose Clear Cached Data.
For V3 Pro, V3 Plus, V3 Prime:
- Go to System Settings → Apps.
- Select each individual app you want to clean up.
- Choose Clear Cache for that app.
Do not choose “Clear Data” unless you want to reset the app.
⚠️ Tips / Best Practices
- Clearing the cache weekly helps keep the box running smoothly.
- Avoid using “Clear Data” unless you’re okay with losing app settings and logins.
- If you still have issues like buffering or freezing, try rebooting the box after clearing the cache.
🔄 How to Update vSeeBox
V2, Max, V5 May need to manually check for updates using the “System Update” app under Settings > About.
V3 Series (Pro, Plus, Prime) These usually have a dedicated “Software Update” shortcut on the home screen.
Elite, Elite Ultra Often include auto-update prompts; you might get a notification when an update is available.

⚠️ Important Notes:
- After updating, it’s recommended to reboot the device.
- If no updates appear but your box is acting up, you may need to clear cache or reset settings instead of updating.
⚙️ How to Factory Reset vSeeBox
Method A: From System Settings
- On the Home Screen, go to the third row of options.
- Navigate to System Settings.
- Choose Device Preferences.
- Select Reset.
- Choose Erase Everything (or “Factory Reset” / “Reset to Factory Settings”).
- Confirm that you want to erase all data.
- The device will reset, erasing apps, settings, and cached data. It will then restart fresh.
Method B: Using the Reset Button (For some models like V3 Plus)
If you can’t access the settings menu:
- Make sure the vSeeBox is connected to your TV and powered off.
- Use a pin or small tool to press and hold the reset button (usually found near the AV or HDMI port).
- While holding the reset button, plug in the power adapter.
- When the boot logo appears, release the button. Wait about 20 seconds.
- The box should enter Android Recovery Mode.
- Use the remote to select Wipe data/factory reset.
- Confirm by selecting Factory data reset / Wipe all user data.
- Once complete, choose Reboot system now.
⚠️ What a Factory Reset Does:
- Completely erases all user data, including apps, Wi-Fi settings, and personal configurations.
- Pre-installed apps (like live TV or VOD) can be reinstalled afterward.
- After the reset, you’ll need to go through the initial setup process again (language, Wi-Fi, etc.).
