General
- What is vSeeBox?
It’s an Android TV box designed for home entertainment with preloaded “Heat Apps” (e.g. Heat Live, Heat VOD) for live TV, video on demand, etc. - Are there any subscription fees after purchase?
No recurring/subscription fees are required to use the Heat apps that come with it. - Where does it work?
You can use it virtually anywhere in the world, as long as you have a TV/monitor with HDMI and a network (WiFi or Ethernet). Note: service is currently not available in China.
Setup, Installation, and Connectivity
- What do I need to use vSeeBox?
A TV/monitor with HDMI port, stable Internet connection (WiFi or Ethernet). For best performance, Ethernet + good bandwidth recommended. - What Internet speed is recommended?
- For basic HD streaming: about 8 Mbps
- For 4K or high-quality video on demand, they recommend more (sometimes 15 Mbps or more).
Apps / Content / Features
- Can I install apps?
Yes. For official apps (e.g. Netflix, YouTube, Disney+), use Google Play Store. For some third‑party apps not in Play Store, there is a “Market” on the Home Page. - Can I uninstall apps?
Yes. Go to Settings → Apps → See all apps, select the app, choose Uninstall. - How are updates handled?
There is an over‑the‑air software update feature. You can check from Settings → Software update → Online update.
Live TV / EPG / Playback
- What is EPG and how to use it?
EPG = Electronic Program Guide. You can access it to see what’s currently on, upcoming programs, etc., using either the EPG button on your remote or via a menu in the Heat Live app. Time, date, time‑zone settings affect how accurately EPG displays the schedule. - What is 7‑Day Playback (or “catch‑up”)?
Some channels allow you to view content from the last 7 days, accessible via EPG. Not all channels support this. - Why do some channels show “Channel under maintenance”?
Often happens with sports / PPV channels when there are no live games; regular channels might be temporarily down for testing or emergency maintenance. You can submit feedback if it persists.
Troubleshooting & Other Stuff
- Network shows “remembered” but not “connected”?
That usually means an incorrect WiFi password. Fix by going to network settings → “forget” the network, then reconnect. - Shutdown vs Sleep mode?
- Shutdown / Power off: when you won’t use it for a while — frees up internal memory and refreshes things.
- Sleep mode: for short breaks; keeps the device somewhat active for quicker wake.
